SET UP GOOGLE LOCAL BUSINESS

Step 1 : Visit: https://www.google.com/business/ and Sign In using your Gmail account
Step 2: Business Name:- Fill up the Business Name refer client website for Business Name
Common Format:- 1) Keyword – Brand Name, 2) Brand Name | Keyword

Step 3: Select country:- Select your Business Service Country.
Step 4: Business Address :- Fill up business address .(Make sure address is accurate as in the website). Select relevant city , region, state, Pincode.
Step 5: Business contact number:-
Enter business number of client.( make sure this number is working and verified with client)

Step 6: Category:-
Choose relevant category to business( Incase you are not able to find category try to choose most appropriate category of business, also consult with client for the same)

Step 7: Website URL
Enter Url of client website and choose “yes your client deliver service” or “product at customer place”.
Press Continue.
Note: In Most of the cases it Shows message “ We can’t find this address. If the address you entered is correct, set the map’s marker location to point to your business address”

Step 8:- Select Set Marker Location
Step 9: Select your Exact Business Location in Google Map then Press Done and Continue.

Step 10:- Mark Check Box of “I am Authorized to Manage this business” and Press Continue
Step 11: Then It Shows Message “How would you like to get your verification code”
Select by Mail Option or you can click Verify Later.

Step 12 : Write Respective Person Name for that Address Location (who can receive postcard) and click on Send Postcard.
Note:- PostCard may take at least 14 days to receive.
Step 13:- Once postcard is received at the business address Login into Google Local Business Page Select your Listing And Click on Verify and put your verification Code.
RANKING HIGH ON THE SNACK PACK:
Google updated the POSSUM & Hawk algorithm for Local listing.
Factors to be considered based on priority:
Proximity is #1.

- Complete accurate listing(NAP,ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER).
- Category should be accurate.
- Upload lots of latest Geo tagged Images from users + Customers.
- Increasing the number of reviews on the Local listing and make sure you reply to each and every review.( In turn increases customer engagement, which has a positive impact from Google point of view)
- Increase the reviews across the Web Yellow pages list, Facebook etc.
- Make structured and unstructured citations across the web.
- Strength of the business also play an important factor by which Google ranks the local listing
